Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. The university is renowned for launching the modern science of child eyewitness memories and utilizing child victims to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer, has won numerous awards and grants. She has provided advice on policy and research to numerous agencies and government departments across the world. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
