Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, at Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian music producer and a vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, was released for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her most well-known recordings. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry promoted her song Runaway. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano that was in her basement and being fascinated at the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to pursue music solely for pleasure or as a means of growing, but that she should pursue it. This led to her began writing songs of her own. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as being her influences. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote could be used to not make her famous however, but to encourage people to realize the importance of their work and influence in the world, she began playing them on stage. As a young girl she started playing the piano and at nine was writing music. This was not known by her family until she turned fourteen. There was no way she could have imagined to become Aurora. She claims that she enjoys writing music. She claims that music is her favorite way to feel anything.
